In the California Art auction, the work Beach and Mountains, Haena, Kauai sold for USD 35,312.50 (€ 29,925.85) - well above the upper estimate of USD 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by Lloyd Sexton Jr. have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calm Seas in a Hawaiian Cove in August last year with an auction result of USD 138,975.00 (€ 138,077.50).
