Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 1 Us$ Banknote by Liu Zheng was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2007. The price achieved of HKD 72,000.00 (€ 6,741.43) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 60,000.00 – 100,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Liu Zheng - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Opera Series, which sold at auction in September 2008 for USD 20,000.00 (€ 14,203.54).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit 1 Us$ Banknote von Liu Zheng kam im April 2007 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 72.000,00 (€ 6.741,43) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 60.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Liu Zheng mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Opera Series beobachtet, die im September 2008 für USD 20.000,00 (€ 14.203,54) versteigert wurde.
