The work West Lake by Liu Kang was auctioned at Phillips in Hong Kong in May 2019. It achieved a price of HKD 475,000.00 (€ 54,363.62), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 36%. Admittedly, works by Liu Kang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Adjusting The Waistband in May last year with an auction result of HKD 3,150,000.00 (€ 373,972.60).

Die Arbeit West Lake von Liu Kang kam im Mai 2019 bei Phillips in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 475.000,00 (€ 54.363,62) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 36%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Liu Kang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Adjusting The Waistband im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.150.000,00 (€ 373.972,60).
