It achieved a price of HKD 441,000.00 (€ 47,904.03), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 26%. Admittedly, works by Liu Kang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Adjusting The Waistband in May last year with an auction result of HKD 3,150,000.00 (€ 373,972.60).

Die Arbeit Lobster & Lemon Still Life von Liu Kang kam im Juni 2021 bei POLY in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 441.000,00 (€ 47.904,03) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 26%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Liu Kang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Adjusting The Waistband im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.150.000,00 (€ 373.972,60).
