Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Fishermen By Boats by Liu Kang was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2017. The price achieved of HKD 375,000.00 (€ 41,273.18) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00. Admittedly, works by Liu Kang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Adjusting The Waistband in May last year with an auction result of HKD 3,150,000.00 (€ 373,972.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Fishermen By Boats von Liu Kang kam im Oktober 2017 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 375.000,00 (€ 41.273,18) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 300.000,00 – 500.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Liu Kang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Adjusting The Waistband im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.150.000,00 (€ 373.972,60).
