Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Running Legs, 42nd Street, N.Y.C. by Lisette Model was sold in the Photographs auction at Phillips in London in May 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 8,820.00 (€ 10,262.27) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Lisette Model have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Woman with Veil, San Francisco, 1949 in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 31,200.00 (€ 45,912.91).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Running Legs, 42nd Street, N.Y.C. von Lisette Model wurde im Mai 2021 in der Auktion Photographs bei Phillips in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 8.820,00 (€ 10.262,27) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lisette Model auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Woman with Veil, San Francisco, 1949 im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 31.200,00 (€ 45.912,91).
