Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Lisette Model could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in July 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Photographs from the Ginny Williams Collection auction, the work 'Fashion Show' (Hotel Pierre, New York City) changed hands for USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,431.63) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Lisette Model have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Woman with Veil, San Francisco, 1949 in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 31,200.00 (€ 45,912.91).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Lisette Model konnte im Juli 2020 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Photographs from the Ginny Williams Collection wechselte die Arbeit 'Fashion Show' (Hotel Pierre, New York City) für USD 8.750,00 (€ 7.431,63) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lisette Model auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Woman with Veil, San Francisco, 1949 im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 31.200,00 (€ 45.912,91).
