Auction result misses estimated price range
When this work without title by Lisa Brice was auctioned at Phillips in London in December 2015, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 250.00 (€ 339.49). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lisa Brice achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work No Bare Back, after Embah in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 3,166,000.00 (€ 2,804,996.90).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Lisa Brice im Dezember 2015 bei Phillips in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 250,00 (€ 339,49) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lisa Brice erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit No Bare Back, after Embah im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.166.000,00 (€ 2.804.996,90).
