Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2020 Phillips in London held the auction New Now, which included the work Malay Girl with Cuts by Lionel Smit. The price achieved of GBP 8,190.00 (€ 9,148.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 10,000.00. Other works by Lionel Smit have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in September 2018 the work Transparent Behaviour no.3 was auctioned for GBP 11,250.00 (€ 12,635.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2020 führte Phillips in London die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit Malay Girl with Cuts von Lionel Smit zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 8.190,00 (€ 9.148,96) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Lionel Smit konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im September 2018 die Arbeit Transparent Behaviour no.3 für GBP 11.250,00 (€ 12.635,20) versteigert.
