Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Lionel Estève could be acquired at Phillips in London in June 2010 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Bubble changed hands for GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,256.33) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Lionel Estève have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pink Inversion in October 2013 with an auction result of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 17,729.88).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Lionel Estève konnte im Juni 2010 bei Phillips in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale wechselte die Arbeit Bubble für GBP 3.500,00 (€ 4.256,33) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lionel Estève auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Pink Inversion im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 17.729,88).
