Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2005 Christies in Sydney held the auction CONTEMPORARY ART, which included the work Three Vital Seals by Lindy Lee. The price achieved of AUD 4,182.50 (€ 2,571.01) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lindy Lee - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in August 2003 for AUD 9,400.00 (€ 5,553.07).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2005 führte Christies in Sydney die Auktion CONTEMPORARY ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit Three Vital Seals von Lindy Lee zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 4.182,50 (€ 2.571,01) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Lindy Lee mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im August 2003 für AUD 9.400,00 (€ 5.553,07) versteigert wurde.
