The work Secret of The Golden Flower by Lindy Lee was sold in the Australian, International & Contemporary Paintings Part II auction at Christies in Melbourne in April 2006. It achieved a price of AUD 7,767.50 (€ 4,671.94), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 55%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Lindy Lee; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot without title sold at auction in August 2003 with the realized price of AUD 9,400.00 (€ 5,553.07).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von AUD 7.767,50 (€ 4.671,94) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 55%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Lindy Lee; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit ohne Titel im August 2003 mit dem Hammerpreis von AUD 9.400,00 (€ 5.553,07).
