Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In August 2001 Christies in Sydney held the auction CONTEMPORARY ART, which included the work Cloudless by Lindy Lee. Here, the upper estimate of AUD 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for AUD 3,055.00 (€ 1,773.51). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lindy Lee - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in August 2003 for AUD 9,400.00 (€ 5,553.07).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im August 2001 führte Christies in Sydney die Auktion CONTEMPORARY ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cloudless von Lindy Lee zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von AUD 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für AUD 3.055,00 (€ 1.773,51) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Lindy Lee mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im August 2003 für AUD 9.400,00 (€ 5.553,07) versteigert wurde.
