The work Nine Carps by Lin Hukui was sold in the Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online including the Collection of Sun Ah Book Center auction at Christies in December 2021. It achieved a price of HKD 47,500.00 (€ 5,380.37), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. Admittedly, works by Lin Hukui have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cranes in Snow in May 2011 with an auction result of HKD 560,000.00 (€ 50,094.60).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Nine Carps von Lin Hukui wurde im Dezember 2021 in der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online including the Collection of Sun Ah Book Center bei Christies versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 47.500,00 (€ 5.380,37) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lin Hukui auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Cranes in Snow im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 560.000,00 (€ 50.094,60).
