In July 2020 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings, which included the work Enjoying Tranquility by Lin Hukui. The auction ended at the price of HKD 100,000.00 (€ 10,956.34), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 80,000.00 – 100,000.00. Admittedly, works by Lin Hukui have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cranes in Snow in May 2011 with an auction result of HKD 560,000.00 (€ 50,094.60).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Juli 2020 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Enjoying Tranquility von Lin Hukui zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 100.000,00 (€ 10.956,34) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 80.000,00 – 100.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lin Hukui auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Cranes in Snow im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 560.000,00 (€ 50.094,60).
