Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2017 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Modern Paintings, which included the work Cat and Vase by Lin Hukui. It changed hands for a price of HKD 75,000.00 (€ 8,074.89) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Lin Hukui have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cranes in Snow in May 2011 with an auction result of HKD 560,000.00 (€ 50,094.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2017 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cat and Vase von Lin Hukui zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 75.000,00 (€ 8.074,89) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lin Hukui auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Cranes in Snow im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 560.000,00 (€ 50.094,60).
