The work Cat Amongst Flowers and Rocks by Lin Hukui was sold in the Fine Chinese Modern Paintings auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2018. The auction ended at the price of HKD 100,000.00 (€ 11,286.76), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 80,000.00 – 100,000.00. Admittedly, works by Lin Hukui have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cranes in Snow in May 2011 with an auction result of HKD 560,000.00 (€ 50,094.60).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Cat Amongst Flowers and Rocks von Lin Hukui wurde im November 2018 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 100.000,00 (€ 11.286,76) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 80.000,00 – 100.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lin Hukui auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Cranes in Snow im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 560.000,00 (€ 50.094,60).
