Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Fisherman'S Huts - Pontian by Lim Cheng Hoe was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2016. The price achieved of HKD 62,500.00 (€ 7,041.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lim Cheng Hoe - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Boats In The Singapore River, which sold at auction in November 2015 for HKD 200,000.00 (€ 24,427.19).

Die Arbeit Fisherman'S Huts - Pontian von Lim Cheng Hoe kam im April 2016 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 62.500,00 (€ 7.041,56) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Lim Cheng Hoe mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Boats In The Singapore River beobachtet, die im November 2015 für HKD 200.000,00 (€ 24.427,19) versteigert wurde.
