Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2015 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Art, which included the work A Woman Strolling In The Woods by Lim Cheng Hoe. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 93,750.00 (€ 10,834.75), 17% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lim Cheng Hoe - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Boats In The Singapore River, which sold at auction in November 2015 for HKD 200,000.00 (€ 24,427.19).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2015 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Woman Strolling In The Woods von Lim Cheng Hoe zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 93.750,00 (€ 10.834,75) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Lim Cheng Hoe mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Boats In The Singapore River beobachtet, die im November 2015 für HKD 200.000,00 (€ 24.427,19) versteigert wurde.
