In the California Art auction, the work Oak Trees, Pacific Grove sold for USD 5,737.50 (€ 4,862.29) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lillie May Nicholson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Monterey Bay from Under the Oak, which sold at auction in August 2021 for USD 20,312.50 (€ 17,213.98).
