It achieved a price of USD 7,012.50 (€ 6,212.90), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 40%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lillie May Nicholson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Monterey Bay from Under the Oak, which sold at auction in August 2021 for USD 20,312.50 (€ 17,213.98).
