Auction result well in line with expectations
The work CALLIGRAPHY IN RUNNING SCRIPT by Liang Hancao was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Christies in New York in March 2015. The price achieved of USD 1,625.00 (€ 1,512.89) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Liang Hancao - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy, which sold at auction in May 2013 for HKD 52,500.00 (€ 5,206.34).

Die Arbeit CALLIGRAPHY IN RUNNING SCRIPT von Liang Hancao wurde im März 2015 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.625,00 (€ 1.512,89) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Liang Hancao mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy beobachtet, die im Mai 2013 für HKD 52.500,00 (€ 5.206,34) versteigert wurde.
