This artwork by Liang Hancao achieved an unexpectedly high price at POLY in Hong Kong in May 2017. In the The Beauty of Brushes - A Selection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy 3 auction, the work Calligraphy sold for HKD 11,800.00 (€ 1,347.40) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Liang Hancao - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy, which sold at auction in May 2013 for HKD 52,500.00 (€ 5,206.34).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Liang Hancao erzielte im Mai 2017 bei POLY in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Beauty of Brushes - A Selection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy 3 wurde die Arbeit Calligraphy für HKD 11.800,00 (€ 1.347,40) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Liang Hancao mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy beobachtet, die im Mai 2013 für HKD 52.500,00 (€ 5.206,34) versteigert wurde.
