Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Seven-Character Couplet In Running And Cursive Script by Liang Hancao was sold in the Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction at China Guardian in Hong Kong in October 2017. The price achieved of HKD 7,080.00 (€ 779.24) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 5,000.00 – 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by Liang Hancao have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy in May 2013 with an auction result of HKD 52,500.00 (€ 5,206.34).

Die Arbeit Seven-Character Couplet In Running And Cursive Script von Liang Hancao wurde im Oktober 2017 in der Auktion Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei China Guardian in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 7.080,00 (€ 779,24) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 5.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Liang Hancao auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 52.500,00 (€ 5.206,34).
