Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Li Yuan-Chia could be acquired at Sothebys in Hong Kong in February last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern Art Online auction, this work without title changed hands for HKD 37,800.00 (€ 4,307.39) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 50,000.00 – 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Li Yuan-Chia achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work UNTITLED in May 2017 with an auction result of HKD 687,500.00 (€ 78,503.25).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Li Yuan-Chia konnte im Februar letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern Art Online wechselte diese Arbeit ohne Titel für HKD 37.800,00 (€ 4.307,39) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 50.000,00 – 80.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Li Yuan-Chia erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit UNTITLED im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 687.500,00 (€ 78.503,25).
