Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Theatre by Li Yuan-Chia was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in May last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 50,000.00 – 100,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 60,480.00 (€ 7,180.27) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Li Yuan-Chia achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work UNTITLED in May 2017 with an auction result of HKD 687,500.00 (€ 78,503.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Theatre von Li Yuan-Chia kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 50.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 60.480,00 (€ 7.180,27) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Li Yuan-Chia erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit UNTITLED im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 687.500,00 (€ 78.503,25).
