Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September 2008 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Asia, which included the work Lights No. 2 by Li Shurui. Here, the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 16,250.00 (€ 11,540.37). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Li Shurui - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Polar Lights No. 10, which sold at auction in November 2015 for HKD 200,000.00 (€ 24,427.19).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September 2008 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Asia durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lights No. 2 von Li Shurui zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 16.250,00 (€ 11.540,37) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Li Shurui mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Polar Lights No. 10 beobachtet, die im November 2015 für HKD 200.000,00 (€ 24.427,19) versteigert wurde.
