Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Li Shurui could be acquired at Phillips in Hong Kong in March this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Light is wave and particle no. 1-6 changed hands for HKD 50,800.00 (€ 5,948.16) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Admittedly, works by Li Shurui have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Polar Lights No. 10 in November 2015 with an auction result of HKD 200,000.00 (€ 24,427.19).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Li Shurui konnte im März diesen Jahres bei Phillips in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale wechselte die Arbeit Light is wave and particle no. 1-6 für HKD 50.800,00 (€ 5.948,16) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Li Shurui auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Polar Lights No. 10 im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 200.000,00 (€ 24.427,19).
