Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Magnolia 2017 No.5(Painted In 2017) by Li Qiang was sold in the Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art auction at China Guardian in Hong Kong in October 2019. It changed hands for a price of HKD 295,000.00 (€ 33,718.06) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Other works by Li Qiang have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2013 the work Return To Land No. 30 was auctioned for HKD 500,000.00 (€ 48,944.41).

Die Arbeit Magnolia 2017 No.5(Painted In 2017) von Li Qiang wurde im Oktober 2019 in der Auktion Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art bei China Guardian in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 295.000,00 (€ 33.718,06) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Li Qiang konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im April 2013 die Arbeit Return To Land No. 30 für HKD 500.000,00 (€ 48.944,41) versteigert.
