Artwork auctioned at seven times the upper estimate price
The work Landscapes by Li Liufang was worth HKD 4,060,000.00 (€ 437,120.52) to a buyer in November 2017. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 550,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Li Liufang - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscapes, which sold at auction in March 2015 for USD 1,150,000.00 (€ 1,070,663.81).
Kunstwerk zum Siebenfachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Die Arbeit Landscapes von Li Liufang war einem Käufer im November 2017 HKD 4.060.000,00 (€ 437.120,52) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 550.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Für andere Arbeiten von Li Liufang mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landscapes beobachtet, die im März 2015 für USD 1.150.000,00 (€ 1.070.663,81) versteigert wurde.
