Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Li Jikai could be acquired at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Asian Art auction, the work Walking In Moonlight changed hands for HKD 47,500.00 (€ 5,589.76) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Li Jikai achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Growth Time in March 2008 with an auction result of USD 109,000.00 (€ 68,965.52).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Li Jikai konnte im Oktober 2016 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art wechselte die Arbeit Walking In Moonlight für HKD 47.500,00 (€ 5.589,76) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Li Jikai erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Growth Time im März 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 109.000,00 (€ 68.965,52).
