Auction result well in line with expectations
The work On The Moon by Li Jikai was sold in the Chinese and Asian Modern & Contemporary Art auction at POLY in Hong Kong in April 2014. The price achieved of HKD 94,400.00 (€ 8,779.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Admittedly, works by Li Jikai have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Growth Time in March 2008 with an auction result of USD 109,000.00 (€ 68,965.52).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit On The Moon von Li Jikai wurde im April 2014 in der Auktion Chinese and Asian Modern & Contemporary Art bei POLY in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 94.400,00 (€ 8.779,81) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Li Jikai auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Growth Time im März 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 109.000,00 (€ 68.965,52).
