Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2021 Bonhams in New York held the auction Chinese Works of Art Online, which included the work Fishing Village, 1985 by Li Huasheng. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,800.00 – 2,500.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,912.50 (€ 1,694.43) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Li Huasheng achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cottage under Pine in May 2014 with an auction result of HKD 325,000.00 (€ 30,736.80).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2021 führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion Chinese Works of Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fishing Village, 1985 von Li Huasheng zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.800,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.912,50 (€ 1.694,43) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Li Huasheng erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Cottage under Pine im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 325.000,00 (€ 30.736,80).
