The work Viewing Waterfall by Li Gemin was sold in the Cultured Legacy: Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy from the Chang Shiu Sig and Tung Shui Wah Collection auction at Christies in Hong Kong in December this year. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 32,760.00 (€ 3,790.71), 64% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Li Gemin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Washing Horse, which sold at auction in November 2018 for HKD 75,000.00 (€ 8,465.07).

Die Arbeit Viewing Waterfall von Li Gemin wurde im Dezember diesen Jahres in der Auktion Cultured Legacy: Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy from the Chang Shiu Sig and Tung Shui Wah Collection bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 32.760,00 (€ 3.790,71) und damit 64% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Li Gemin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Washing Horse beobachtet, die im November 2018 für HKD 75.000,00 (€ 8.465,07) versteigert wurde.
