Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2018 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online, which included the work Ink Element 201510(J) by Li Gang. It changed hands for a price of HKD 43,750.00 (€ 4,779.88) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 35,000.00 – 45,000.00. Admittedly, works by Li Gang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Elements of Ink No. 20140320 in May 2017 with an auction result of HKD 250,000.00 (€ 28,546.64).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2018 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ink Element 201510(J) von Li Gang zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 43.750,00 (€ 4.779,88) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 35.000,00 – 45.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Li Gang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Elements of Ink No. 20140320 im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 250.000,00 (€ 28.546,64).
