Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Elements of Ink No 20161217; Elements of Ink No 20161219 by Li Gang was auctioned at Christies in Shanghai in September 2017. The price achieved of CNY 84,000.00 (€ 10,687.55) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as CNY 70,000.00 – 90,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Li Gang - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Elements of Ink No. 20140320, which sold at auction in May 2017 for HKD 250,000.00 (€ 28,546.64).

Die Arbeit Elements of Ink No 20161217; Elements of Ink No 20161219 von Li Gang kam im September 2017 bei Christies in Shanghai zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von CNY 84.000,00 (€ 10.687,55) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit CNY 70.000,00 – 90.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Li Gang mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Elements of Ink No. 20140320 beobachtet, die im Mai 2017 für HKD 250.000,00 (€ 28.546,64) versteigert wurde.
