Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2016 Sothebys in London held the auction Made in Britain, which included the work Christine Keeler, 1963 by Lewis Morley. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,419.10) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lewis Morley - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Christine Keeler, London, 1963, which sold at auction in May 2008 for GBP 12,500.00 (€ 15,900.55).
