Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 'M-20' (From The Series Maryland), 1976 by Lewis Baltz was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May 2019. The price achieved of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 9,904.48) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by Lewis Baltz have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Candlestick Point in April 2018 with an auction result of USD 118,750.00 (€ 98,351.83).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit 'M-20' (From The Series Maryland), 1976 von Lewis Baltz kam im Mai 2019 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 9.904,48) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lewis Baltz auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Candlestick Point im April 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 118.750,00 (€ 98.351,83).
