This artwork by Moses Levy achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Rome in May 2002. In the ARTE DEL XIX SECOLO - 19TH CENTURY ART auction, the work Sulla spiaggia, 1920 sold for EUR 9,920.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 3,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Moses Levy - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work La Pineta - 1919, which sold at auction in December last year for EUR 26,240.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Moses Levy erzielte im Mai 2002 bei Christies in Rom einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion ARTE DEL XIX SECOLO - 19TH CENTURY ART wurde die Arbeit Sulla spiaggia, 1920 für EUR 9.920,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 3.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Moses Levy mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit La Pineta - 1919 beobachtet, die im Dezember letzten Jahres für EUR 26.240,00 versteigert wurde.
