Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2005 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art including Russian Pictures, which included the work An Oriental maiden holding a fan by Leopold Alphons Mielich. The price achieved of GBP 3,600.00 (€ 5,283.26) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Leopold Alphons Mielich achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Austrian the Pottery Seller in April 2015 with an auction result of GBP 221,000.00 (€ 303,483.96).
