Auction result well in line with expectations
The work German The Water Carrier by Leopold Alphons Mielich was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 31,250.00 (€ 35,585.37) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Leopold Alphons Mielich have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Austrian the Pottery Seller in April 2015 with an auction result of GBP 221,000.00 (€ 303,483.96).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit German The Water Carrier von Leopold Alphons Mielich kam im Mai 2018 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 31.250,00 (€ 35.585,37) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Leopold Alphons Mielich auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Austrian the Pottery Seller im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 221.000,00 (€ 303.483,96).
