Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2009 Sothebys in London held the auction 19th Century European Paintings including Spanish Painting, The Orientalist Sale, and German, Austrian, Scandinavian and Symbolist Works, which included the work German The Carpet Merchant by Leopold Alphons Mielich. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 80,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 85,250.00 (€ 93,295.13). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Leopold Alphons Mielich - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Austrian the Pottery Seller, which sold at auction in April 2015 for GBP 221,000.00 (€ 303,483.96).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2009 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 19th Century European Paintings including Spanish Painting, The Orientalist Sale, and German, Austrian, Scandinavian and Symbolist Works durch, in der auch die Arbeit German The Carpet Merchant von Leopold Alphons Mielich zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 80.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 85.250,00 (€ 93.295,13) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Leopold Alphons Mielich mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Austrian the Pottery Seller beobachtet, die im April 2015 für GBP 221.000,00 (€ 303.483,96) versteigert wurde.
