Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work A well earned feed; and Waiting to pray by Leonid Ignatevich Vaishlya was auctioned at Christies in London in March 2007, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 168.00 (€ 247.28). Admittedly, works by Leonid Ignatevich Vaishlya have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Corn blowing in the wind; Farm workers in April 2007 with an auction result of GBP 900.00 (€ 1,317.72).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit A well earned feed; and Waiting to pray von Leonid Ignatevich Vaishlya im März 2007 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 168,00 (€ 247,28) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Leonid Ignatevich Vaishlya auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Corn blowing in the wind; Farm workers im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 900,00 (€ 1.317,72).
