Auction result well in line with expectations
In January this year Bonhams held the auction American Art | Bonhams Skinner, which included the work The Spirit of Fontainebleau by Leonard Ochtman. The price achieved of USD 1,657.50 (€ 1,526.52) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Leonard Ochtman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Winter Tones in May 2000 with an auction result of USD 21,150.00 (€ 22,673.67).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion American Art | Bonhams Skinner durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Spirit of Fontainebleau von Leonard Ochtman zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.657,50 (€ 1.526,52) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Leonard Ochtman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Winter Tones im Mai 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 21.150,00 (€ 22.673,67).
