Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2007 Christies in New York held the auction Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work The Pools at Greyledge, Cos Cob, Connecticut by Leonard Ochtman. The price achieved of USD 6,600.00 (€ 4,934.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Leonard Ochtman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Winter Tones in May 2000 with an auction result of USD 21,150.00 (€ 22,673.67).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2007 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Pools at Greyledge, Cos Cob, Connecticut von Leonard Ochtman zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.600,00 (€ 4.934,95) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Leonard Ochtman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Winter Tones im Mai 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 21.150,00 (€ 22.673,67).
