Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Dancing Nymphs (D. 70) by Leonard Beaumont was auctioned at Sothebys in London in March 2016, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 2,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 875.00 (€ 1,104.77). Other works by Leonard Beaumont have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in September 2016 by the work The Garden Of Eden (See Dickson 68) at GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,158.12).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Dancing Nymphs (D. 70) von Leonard Beaumont im März 2016 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 875,00 (€ 1.104,77) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Leonard Beaumont wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im September 2016 die Arbeit The Garden Of Eden (See Dickson 68) mit GBP 1.000,00 (€ 1.158,12).
