Auction result well in line with expectations
In October last year Christies in London held the auction Modern British & Irish Art Day Sale, which included the work Water-Rhythm by Leon Underwood. The price achieved of GBP 15,120.00 (€ 17,614.63) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by Leon Underwood have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sungirl in June 2011 with an auction result of GBP 91,250.00 (€ 100,951.16).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober letzten Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion Modern British & Irish Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Water-Rhythm von Leon Underwood zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 15.120,00 (€ 17.614,63) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Leon Underwood auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sungirl im Juni 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 91.250,00 (€ 100.951,16).
