The work Book of Thel: The Clod of Clay by Leon Underwood was auctioned at Bonhams in London in July 2021. It achieved a price of GBP 16,500.00 (€ 19,349.67), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 38%. Admittedly, works by Leon Underwood have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sungirl in June 2011 with an auction result of GBP 91,250.00 (€ 100,951.16).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 38 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Book of Thel: The Clod of Clay von Leon Underwood kam im Juli 2021 bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 16.500,00 (€ 19.349,67) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 38%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Leon Underwood auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sungirl im Juni 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 91.250,00 (€ 100.951,16).
