Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Léon Spilliaert achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in April last year. In the Impressionist & Modern Art auction, the work Troncs d'arbres en hiver sold for GBP 20,400.00 (€ 24,326.28) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Léon Spilliaert achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Digue et plage, Chalet Royal et galeries d'Ostende in March last year with an auction result of EUR 504,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Léon Spilliaert erzielte im April letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art wurde die Arbeit Troncs d'arbres en hiver für GBP 20.400,00 (€ 24.326,28) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Léon Spilliaert erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Digue et plage, Chalet Royal et galeries d'Ostende im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 504.000,00.
