The work Arbuste sur fond jaune, Hautes Fagnes by Léon Spilliaert was auctioned at Christies in Paris in October 2020. It achieved a price of EUR 43,750.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 46 %. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Léon Spilliaert achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Digue et plage, Chalet Royal et galeries d'Ostende in March last year with an auction result of EUR 504,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 46 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Arbuste sur fond jaune, Hautes Fagnes von Léon Spilliaert kam im Oktober 2020 bei Christies in Paris zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 43.750,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 46 %. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Léon Spilliaert erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Digue et plage, Chalet Royal et galeries d'Ostende im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 504.000,00.
